On Halloween Day, I was so excited to go to our favorite library and trick-or-treat for books! We waited til after B’s nap then loaded her up and took her down to the library and put on her costume (BTW: each time I put it on her, I re-pinned the boa so it looked a little better…by trick-or-treating, it was perfect!). Again, it was a huge hit!
“Daddy! The Storytime Room is this way!”:
But first she had to make a stop and pick up a pumpkin book:
She walked right over and sat down in front of me just like this and waited for me to read it to her. Brought a tear to my eye!!!
After Mommy picked out two book choices from the trick-or-treat bin (both Caldecott honorees…"Anasi the Spider” and “Frederick”) and let B choose her favorite. Of course, she picked the red one (that’s “Anasi the Spider”) ‘cause its her favorite color:
Showing Daddy her favorite toys:
And we couldn’t pass up the chance to show Daddy the duck pond:
What a fun afternoon…with so much more fun to come with Trick-or-Treating!
